Maria established SHE DOES HAULING in 2018 as a multi-disciplinary and certified woman-minority owned business, specializing in commercial and residential Junk Removal, Hauling, Logistics and Demolition Services.
She earned her MBA from the School of Management at Eastern University and completed her undergraduate studies from Central Penn College with her BS in Business Management.

My customers ask me “what made you get into this type of work?” or the customers make reference to the fact that “It’s odd seeing a woman in this field” I explain quite often that I was previously in Corporate Leadership positions for over 25 years and I’m having lots of fun in the Hauling business.
Back in 2018, I decided to pursue my thesis work and that was to develop a Traditional Program for “At-Risk” Youth, so I purchased an investment property to renovate for the Group Home.
During the renovations, I experienced problems with finding reliable Hauling companies in my area to remove the construction debris from the property: NO returned calls; NO shows for the appointments; and NO fair estimates. After being frustrated, I ended up purchasing a “not so pretty” truck during the renovations to Haul my own Junk to the Dump from the Group Home.
One day I looked out my bathroom window at the truck in the driveway and said “I bet there’s someone else like me who needs stuff hauled away and can’t find anyone to do the job around here”
I placed a basic $5.00 ad on Craigslist without a company name or logo asking if anyone needed help with hauling and if they experienced problems with finding someone to help them haul items away.
My phone immediately started to ring from customers looking to have items hauled away.
My family asked me what I was going to call the business, and I took my finger across the side of the truck and said, “SHE DOES HAULING” The truck was really “not so pretty”, so I had the truck wrapped after I decided on the name and logo. That inspired me to establish the business and advertise on several platforms to bring SHE DOES HAULING to Life!
Today, we are a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and multi-disciplinary, woman- minority owned business specializing in Junk Removal, Hauling, Logistics and Demolition Services. Winner of the 2020 Comcast RISE Investment Fund, organically built over 25,000 followers across all social media platforms, became a transportation authority, established a network of 35 professional contractors, and consistently maintain our 5-Star Ratings from customer reviews.
We service both Commercial and Residential customers throughout the Central Pennsylvania area and the Northeastern Region. We reach customers within 150-mile radius surrounding our Harrisburg, Pennsylvania office, including locations like Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, Virginia and West Virginia.
